YOUR DATA

A workspace on your computer.

This website and the standalone app have different jobs. Here’s what goes where.

This website

The public site provides product, installation, and support information. It does not connect to your local Kerix service, restore an app session, or ask for an owner connection key. There is no website account.

The public website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits, referral sources, and website interactions. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives information about your browser, device, and activity on these pages. Website analytics does not receive your local Kerix workspace, provider keys, or license key. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our website tag.

Website hosting may retain ordinary request logs. Keep private credentials out of URLs and support reports.

Purchases and device verification

Checkout and licensing are handled by a separate seller service, with payments processed by Stripe. You provide an email address at checkout to link your purchase to its license and help locate a lost key. The seller stores that address encrypted alongside a protected lookup value. Stripe also receives your checkout email and payment details.

The seller service handles purchase identifiers, license records, and device activation information. First activation sends your license key and installation details; later verification uses device proofs.

The licensing service does not need your drafts, saved posts, social login, or AI provider key. License checkout is available through Kerix checkout.

Your desktop workspace

The standalone app keeps its database and browser session in application data on your computer. Provider keys and session credentials use protected storage. Losing license verification locks access without deleting your workspace or provider configuration.

When you choose hosted AI, the content and context needed for your request are sent to your selected provider. With a local Ollama model, generation runs on your computer. Publishing to a social service sends the content you submit to that service.

Protect your computer and backups. Removing the app alone may leave application data behind; preserve data you need before removing it.
